What is a melanoma?
A melanoma is an aggressive form of skin cancer that originates from pigment cells (melanocytes) in the skin. It is a relatively rare, but dangerous type of skin cancer because it can spread quickly to other parts of the body.
In the Netherlands, approximately 8,000 people are diagnosed with melanoma each year. This makes it the fastest-growing form of cancer in terms of new cases.
DIGIZORG APP
A lot of information about melanomas and skin cancer is available online. Unfortunately, this can lead to confusion due to incorrect or excessive information.
To prevent this, the Digizorg App was developed. This app provides reliable information that is specifically tailored to your care path and treatment. Digizorg is a joint initiative of 29 healthcare providers in the Rotterdam region and the South Holland Islands. Together, they aim to simplify access to digital healthcare for patients.
DESIGN
Since the Digizorg app is a universal platform that can be used by all hospitals and healthcare institutions, a style needed to be developed that is both accessible and professional.
Additionally, the color scheme had to align as much as possible with that of most healthcare institutions.
The result
Our task was to develop a series of animations that align with the different phases of the treatment plan for melanoma.
The result? A series of seven animations, each explaining a small part of the specific care or treatment.
