Let’s Blast Into Space

Solar Weekend is the festival where you can escape reality, and where nothing is too crazy. It’s like a different planet where creativity, dance, music, and madness come together. We had the amazing opportunity to design and build the area ‘House of House’.

Imagine a place where you can leave planet Earth and step into the Solar System—a world bursting with crazy patterns, colors, strange life, and unforgettable experiences. This vision became the starting point for our concept.

CONCEPT AND DESIGN

From the very beginning, we knew that a massive UFO had to be the centerpiece of the stage—complete with a giant LED screen beneath it, placed exactly where, in a classic UFO scene, the bright light beam would shine down. Every object, line, shape, and material was designed and positioned to draw all focus and attention toward the heart of the stage.

We were given the assignment to incorporate a huge number of pallets into the design. We embraced this challenge and integrated them in a way that enhances the overall lines and structure of the stage and the erea.

let’s prep

Before the festival, we designed all the artwork and carefully positioned it on every stage element, preparing it for print on wood and decotex. We brought all the artwork to life so it was ready to be places on the massive LED screen.

Five days before the event, we arrived on-site. With all materials delivered and the full team ready, construction of the stage could begin. The stage was built around a steel frame, with each 3D object crafted separately and lifted into place to complete the final structure.

THE RESULT

A massive, bold, surreal and dynamic stage bursting with color and energy, pulling visitors in as if they might be sucked straight into the UFO.
