How do you make the choice between patient x or y? Who do you help first, or who not? This often feels like comparing apples and oranges.

From this thought, the idea emerged to literally develop an apple and pear character, both so cute that it’s almost impossible to choose between them.

DION LUIJTEN is a creative studio, specialised in simplifying communication through animation. With swanky 2D and 3D animations, Dion helps brands to convey their core message to target audiences in a unique way.

But, Dion is on his own and creating an exclusive brand identity for a personal-professional website and social media can be quite the pickle.

5W1H-WHAT?

As luck would have it, Dion is specialised in brand identities and animation to support it. He simplified the entire process into the 5W1H-method (who, what, where, when, why and how), making sure the end product was aligned with the rebranding and brand identity.

THE OUTCOME?

A good connection between the overall brand identity, the website and social media platforms. Focusing on 3D animation, easy and accessible shapes and bold, fearless creativity.

A BRAND NEW LOOK

After a full rebranding of “BVB Substrates” (one of the products brands by Kekkilä-BVB) they noticed that something was still missing when telling their story and communicating their product promise.

We used their new brand identity as the basis for all of our animated video assets which had various purposes.

HOW CAN ANIMATION HELP?

After analysing all of BVB Substrates communication tools and the company’s position, we came to the conclusion that animation could help in two ways:

  1. to strengthen the brand identity;
  2. to promote specific products.

Both messages will be used to make farmers/cultivators realise that BVB Substrates is a good addition to their mission of growing the most beautiful products.

By matching the brand identity to the animation style, BVB Substrates has a recognisable, consistent and distinctive look for all their online content. The work can be seen on their website, social media platforms and in their newsletters.
